Common questions

What solar battery rebates are available in NSW right now?

Two stack together: the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount (battery STCs) and the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme battery incentive of about $40 per usable kWh, capped at 28 kWh. A $4,000 Home Energy Saver discount for eligible households is coming soon.

How much is the battery rebate on a 14 kWh battery in NSW?

Around $4,218 combined at today's indicative STC value: about $3,658 federal plus $560 NSW. The final figure is confirmed on your written quote.

Is the $15,000 NSW loan a rebate?

No. The Home Energy Saver loan is interest-free finance from a participating lender and must be repaid. It spreads the cost; it does not reduce the price.

When do the battery rebates change?

The federal battery STC factor is reset each period. The current factor applies for September–December 2026. We update this page whenever an official source changes.
