Solar & batteries in Stockton
Stockton sits between the harbour and the ocean, which makes it the most corrosive address we work at. Everything we put on a Stockton roof is chosen for that. The housing is mostly older and modest in size, so panel layout has to be efficient rather than generous, and we have a completed job here to show for it.
What matters in Stockton
- Two-sided salt exposure — harbour and ocean — so component choice is not a place to save money.
- Smaller roof planes mean the layout and inverter sizing decide the outcome more than panel count does.
- Older switchboards are common and are assessed before we quote, not discovered on install day.
- Wind loading is genuine here; fixing spacing is calculated rather than assumed.
- We come around via the bridge, not the ferry — about 20 minutes from Hamilton North.

“We have used Newy Solar Co to install solar panels, a new battery and EV charger in our home. We have no reservation in recommending Alex and his team. They made the whole process from start to finish extremely straight forward with the highest level of professionalism.”
