Solar Roofer

What you'll do

• Assess roof conditions and flag concerns before installation work proceeds.
• Support approved solar mounting, racking and panel positioning within your competence.
• Protect roof surfaces and weatherproofing throughout the work.
• Coordinate with electricians and follow work-at-heights and site safety procedures. This role does not include unlicensed electrical wiring or commissioning.

What you'll bring

Essential

• A positive attitude and pride in doing the job properly.
• Roof work experience.
• Work-at-heights competence and training for the assigned tasks.
• Safe site practice, including required site inductions and training.

Desirable

• Experience with solar mounting systems.
• Experience working with different roof materials and protecting weatherproofing.

The work, honestly

This is on-site work across Newcastle and the Hunter, based from our Hamilton North workshop. Expect outdoor work, roofs, weather exposure, manual handling and travel between sites. Work within your training and competence, use safe handling methods and follow site-specific safe working procedures. Our normal Monday–Thursday roster usually means a three-day weekend; it is not a guarantee that every Friday is off.
